Never Strikes Twice

Jan 22, 2006       “Never Strikes Twice”.

I have been fascinated with the weather since early childhood. I was a meteorologist for the US Army during the Viet Nam era, where I learned the technical aspects of weather phenomena. I continued these studies while achieving a Masters degree in Hydrology.

The “basket Illusion” “Never Strikes twice” is a study inspired by my long time interest in thunder storms. I have chased these storms to watch the “light show”.  Where I live in Colorado offers me the opportunity to view these storms on a regular basis. The National Center of Atmospheric Research is here in my home town of Boulder. NCAR people also keep an eye and instrument on the storms that blow along the Front Range.

I thought it fitting that I donate this piece to the Katrina Relief Fund. Let us all hope that a storm like this Never Strikes Twice.
